About the Press

AMIDI.Biblioteca is an open-access digital publishing platform for academic and research electronic books, managed by the Academia Mexicana de Investigación y Docencia en Innovación S.C. (AMIDI). Since its creation in 2019, AMIDI has promoted multidisciplinary research, innovation, open access, digital preservation, and sustainable development.

AMIDI is registered in RENIECYT-SECIHTI under number 2200092 and in the Publishers Registry of the National Institute of Copyright of Mexico (INDAUTOR), with ISBN publisher identifier 978-607-59397.

AMIDI.Biblioteca publishes and disseminates works through two editorial modalities: AMIDI Editions, for new, original, and unpublished works published under the editorial responsibility of AMIDI Editorial; and AMIDI Co-editions, for works developed through formal collaboration with universities, research centers, academic networks, chairs, research groups, or academic publishers.

Works may correspond to two academic types: Theoretical and Empirical Research, when they contribute conceptual, theoretical, or empirical knowledge to a field of study; and Applied Research, when they address scientific, technological, social, institutional, professional, or methodological problems through applicable academic knowledge.

When a previously published work seeks to be incorporated with the AMIDI imprint, it must be processed as an AMIDI Co-edition or new AMIDI Co-edited edition, with formal authorization, rights validation, open licensing, verifiable editorial review, an updated legal page, and consistency among the cover, public catalogue record, metadata, DOI, ISBN, license, and editorial modality. AMIDI.Biblioteca does not incorporate works as simple hosting.

The catalogue is managed through Open Monograph Press (OMP), a platform developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for the publication of academic electronic books. Works are organized into academic categories, editorial categories, and disciplinary series: Social Sciences, Applied Sciences, Natural Sciences, Statistics, and Arts and Humanities.

Every submitted work is subject to editorial review, similarity screening, rights validation, compliance with ethical policies, external academic peer review, and technical metadata review. Reviews are conducted by specialists external to the editorial team, selected according to academic expertise, thematic relevance, institutional independence, and absence of conflicts of interest.

AMIDI.Biblioteca provides immediate open access for reading, consultation, and download without payment, subscription, or registration. Unless otherwise stated, published or co-edited works are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

To strengthen the quality, preservation, traceability, interoperability, and discoverability of its publications, AMIDI Editorial integrates, as applicable: ISBN, Crossref DOI, editorial metadata in OMP, open-access licensing, digital preservation, and interoperability through OAI-PMH. AMIDI Editorial does not guarantee indexing, automatic inclusion, or permanence in external platforms, databases, catalogues, or harvesters, as these processes depend on each external entity.
