Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another press for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

Author Guidelines

Registration and login are required to submit works online and to check the status of recent submissions. As part of the submission process, authors, coordinators, academic editors, or authorized representatives must verify that their submission complies with all the requirements listed below. Submissions that do not meet these guidelines may be returned for correction before entering the editorial review process.

AMIDI.Biblioteca receives academic books, research books, book chapters, essays, conference proceedings, methodological works, applied research works, and other scholarly works aligned with its editorial scope.

Originality and Exclusivity

All submitted works must be unpublished, original, or, where applicable, duly authorized for publication, co-edition, or editorial incorporation into AMIDI.Biblioteca.

Authors, coordinators, academic editors, or authorized representatives must not submit the same work simultaneously to another publisher, platform, journal, or academic entity, unless there is a formal co-edition agreement.

Any legal, moral, ethical, authorship, intellectual property, or third-party rights conflict arising from the submission shall be the full responsibility of the authors, coordinators, academic editors, or authorized representatives, holding AMIDI.Biblioteca, AMIDI Editorial, and AMIDI harmless from any related claim.

Submitted works must represent original, high-quality academic, scientific, technological, humanistic, social, methodological, or applied contributions.

AMIDI.Biblioteca publishes works preferably in English and Spanish.

Anti-Plagiarism and Similarity Review

Before being sent to external reviewers, submitted works may be reviewed using anti-plagiarism and similarity-detection software, including Turnitin or iThenticate.

As a general editorial criterion, works should not exceed an unjustified similarity level of 20%. However, the final assessment will depend on the nature of the matches, the correct use of citations, source attribution, the presence of previously published materials, and the academic relevance of their inclusion.

Works involving plagiarism, undeclared self-plagiarism, editorial duplication, fabrication or falsification of data, manipulation of results, unauthorized use of third-party materials, or misappropriation of ideas, texts, images, tables, figures, instruments, or data will not be accepted.

Editorial Ethics

Authors, coordinators, academic editors, or authorized representatives are responsible for ensuring that the research process and the submission of the work comply with the ethical codes of their institutions and with internationally accepted legal and ethical standards for research involving human beings, animals, communities, data, institutions, and the environment.

AMIDI.Biblioteca adheres to principles of academic integrity, editorial transparency, confidentiality, impartiality, author responsibility, respect for copyright, and good scholarly publishing practices. Its processes are guided by the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

By submitting a work, the responsible person declares consent and agreement with AMIDI.Biblioteca’s editorial, ethical, open-access, peer-review, licensing, preservation, originality, and interoperability policies.

AMIDI.Biblioteca reserves the right to take the editorial measures it deems appropriate when inappropriate conduct is detected by authors, coordinators, academic editors, reviewers, or any person involved in the editorial process.

Copyright, License, and Open Access

Authors retain the copyright of their works without restriction, according to the terms of the declared license and the applicable editorial agreements.

Unless otherwise stated, works published, co-edited, or incorporated into AMIDI.Biblioteca are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Authors authorize AMIDI Editorial and AMIDI.Biblioteca to reproduce, publish, edit, correct, format, preserve, disseminate, publicly communicate, describe through metadata, and make the work publicly available in digital media for academic, scientific, cultural, educational, editorial, preservation, open-access, and interoperability purposes, always giving proper credit to the authors.

AMIDI.Biblioteca is an open-access digital publishing platform. This means that its contents are freely available to users and their institutions without charge. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of books, book chapters, and academic works, provided that the authors and editorial source are properly cited, the use is non-commercial, and the license declared in each publication is respected.

Files Required for Submission

Submissions must include the following files, preferably in Microsoft Word format:

  1. A file containing the authors’ information;

  2. The complete work, book chapter, essay, conference proceeding, or editorial proposal;

  3. The signed Letter of Originality Declaration, Authorization for Publication, Co-edition or Editorial Incorporation, and License of Use.

The corresponding author or responsible person for the submission must ensure that all authors have contributed significantly to the work, have approved the submitted version, and agree with its editorial processing.

The ORCID identifiers and institutional emails of all authors must be provided.

References, Citations, Tables, and Figures

Due to the academic nature of AMIDI.Biblioteca, references should preferably be current and relevant to the field of study. As a general recommendation, at least 80% of the references should correspond to the most recent five to ten years, unless the nature of the work requires the use of classical, historical, legal, methodological, or foundational sources.

Whenever available, references must include their corresponding DOI.

Citations and references must follow APA 7th edition criteria or the editorial format requested for the specific work.

Tables, figures, maps, graphs, images, and illustrations must be included within the body of the document, with their corresponding numbering, title, source, and permissions when applicable. They must not be placed only at the end of the work.

Editorial Freedom and Responsibility

Submitted works must be free from discriminatory, sexist, racist, violent, exclusionary, or hate-based content, as well as from political, institutional, ideological, or group interests unrelated to the academic purpose of the work.

The contents, arguments, data, opinions, results, interpretations, and conclusions expressed in the published works are the sole responsibility of their authors and do not necessarily reflect the position of AMIDI.Biblioteca, AMIDI Editorial, AMIDI, its curators, reviewers, or co-publishing institutions.

Total or partial reproduction of the contents is authorized, provided that the authors and editorial source are properly cited, the use is non-commercial, and the license declared in each publication is respected.

Editorial Diagnosis

The editorial diagnosis is generally answered in less than one week. Authors are encouraged to regularly check their spam or junk mail folder, since institutional responses may occasionally be redirected there.

Authors, coordinators, or academic editors may submit their complete work —book or book chapter— as an editorial proposal to direccion@amidi.mx for initial review by AMIDI.Biblioteca.

If they choose the essay modality, they must download, complete, and attach the corresponding format together with their proposal.

Recommended Citations

When relevant to the topic, approach, or field of the submitted work, authors are encouraged to review and cite previous works published in AMIDI.Biblioteca and Scientia et PRAXIS. Such citations must be academically justified and directly related to the content of the submitted work.

Author Declaration

By submitting the work, the responsible person declares that the document has no authors other than those indicated at the time of submission. No additional authors may be added during the editing process, unless there is a justified, documented, and formally accepted editorial reason.

Privacy Statement

Names, email addresses, and any other personal data registered with this publishing house will be used exclusively for the academic, editorial, administrative, and communication purposes declared by AMIDI Editorial.

Such information will not be used for any other purposes, nor will it be shared, transferred, or made available to third parties, except where required by applicable law or with the express authorization of the data subject.
