Applied Structural Analysis: Using SmartPLS in Management Sciences Research, by Juan Mejía Trejo, is organized into ten chapters that provide a progressive and applied pathway for conducting PLS-SEM analysis with SmartPLS 4. Chapter 1 introduces the foundations of structural analysis and distinguishes between the measurement model and the structural model. Chapter 2 explains data preparation and preliminary diagnosis, while Chapter 3 guides the operational construction of the CAITIZEN model. Chapter 4 presents the initial estimation using the PLS-SEM algorithm and the assessment of collinearity.
Chapter 5 evaluates the reflective measurement model through reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity criteria. Chapter 6 addresses the global fit of the saturated model, and Chapter 7 develops statistical inference through bootstrapping. Chapter 8 assesses the explanatory capacity of the structural model using indicators such as R² and f². Chapter 9 examines its predictive capacity through PLSpredict and CVPAT. Finally, Chapter 10 integrates the measurement, structural, inferential, and predictive results into a coherent, defensible, and publishable academic report.
